SS has transaction processing. We use a SQL transaction library that talks to vdbtcl which is the DB wrapper around RogueWave. If someone hasn't figure out how to do this, they just have been whining too much and not trying. As far as there not being a wide DB support I'm not sure how a product that supports MS SQL Server, Sybase, Oracle and DB2 is not wide enough. That covers an extremely large install base. And as someone mentioned, if you're running SS and have not ponied up for a good DB solution you're just kidding yourself.
