So with Alan Klapmeier out as chairman and his (apparently) failed
attempt to raise money and buy the jet program, does this mean that
the jet is doomed?That would leave the Diamond Jet as the only viable "personal" jet
albeit at 1.8 mil.

The plane flies and seems to do what they say it will do, which makes me think that eventually all of the necessary financing will be obtained. It might take a lot longer than if Alan K. took over the project and ran with it, but it should still happen. Remember that the engine is already certified.
